Students Support Gov. Gibbon's Budget cuts Chalking UNR

UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA RENO, Nev. -- Students from UNR joined together
in front of the Joe Crowley Student Union last night at the campus to
demonstrate their support for Governor Jim Gibbons' proposed budget
cuts. Leaving behind in 4 foot letters "Students Support Gov. Gibbons
Budget"
The budget cuts, which were presented as an alternative to raising
taxes, are opposed by the Associated Students of the University of
Nevada.
Last night's rally was conducted by separate groups of students
working together to show that the budget cuts are supported by the
student body.
During the rally, students used sidewalk chalk to write messages, to
inform other students as to what is happening, as well as to state
their position on this issue.
